THE STORY BEHIND ROADCRAFT USA
In 2021 Michael ONeill published the book “Road Work: Images and Insights of a Modern Day Explorer”, an autobiographical travelogue of some of his most memorable experiences on the road. Using motorcycle travel as a metaphor for life itself, the book is packed with travel tips, recommendations, stunning photographs from the places he has visited, life lessons learned along the way and some very timely social commentary. The book was well-received and became an Amazon #1 Best Seller in the travel category.
The readers of Road Work begged for more. More details about the specific places he visited, stayed at and dined in. More details about his favorite roads to ride and what to see along the way. More details about the wonderful scenes he photographed and the technical aspects of how he captured those images. More details about his philosophies for living a fuller life. Roadcraft USA was launched as an online resource for these curious people. In a career as a professional photographer, spanning nearly four decades, he was engaged in projects for Fortune 500 companies, publications in the motorcycle, travel and motorsports industries, as well as thousands of creative assignments on a local retail level; working from his studio located in the town of East Northport, NY. He was born and raised on Long Island, NY, which he has called home for his entire life.
