COMPUTER GENERATED IMAGING SOLUTIONS

It’s mid-October, 2023 as I write this.  I can only start by saying “WOW”!  What a year it’s been in the imaging industry.  The proliferation and wide-scale adoption of AI technologies is being felt across the entire world.  Large companies are adopting AI models to handle every bit of their day-to-day operations. Customer service chatbots.  Data analysis and predictive analytics. Supply chain optimization.  Fraud detection. Personalized marketing. Document classification. And on and on.

The creative sector has not been exempt from this revolution by any stretch of the imagination.  Computer generated imaging solutions are jumping to the head of the class while traditional photographic capture is being perceived as yesterday’s outdated approach.  Text to image applications have been developing over the last year or so at such an accelerated pace that the heads of imaging professionals are spinning…or, in some cases, exploding.

Big AI News This Week

dynamic images for social media

Just this past week industry leader, Adobe, announced not only new text-to-image tools for professionals; but also text-to-vector and text-to-theme functionality in their applications.  Adobe’s annual trade show & conference, Adobe MAX, was all about AI.  Adobe is “All In” on using AI technologies; not just in its new content creation tools, but also in its legacy applications; implementing new AI tools to its existing products.

Just a week before Adobe MAX took to the stage Craig Peters, CEO of Getty Images (arguably the most important stock photography service in the world) sat down at The Code Conference to discuss Getty’s future in the world of computer generated imaging solutions.  As you can well imagine, Getty has more to lose by the insurgence of AI than any other visual media marketing enterprise.  Getty, in fact, has been at the spearhead of litigation against players in the AI imaging field…notably Stability AI…for using Getty’s photos to train its Stable Diffusion AI image generator.

I, personally, am represented by Getty Images for my stock photography work.  Getty has long banned its users from uploading or selling AI generated content through their platform.  So imagine my surprise to hear Peters announce that Getty Images has introduced its own AI tool in partnership with Nvidia.  All of the details remain to be revealed, but the most important takeaways from Getty’s announcement is that their data sets will be trained exclusively on images belonging to Getty contributing artists…and that those artists will be compensated when their images are used in their AI tool’s training set.

It’s an exciting time to be a “creative”.

New Kid On The Block

It’s an exciting time to be building a brand of your own as well.  You don’t have to be part of a multi-national corporate entity to take advantage of these emerging computer generated imaging solutions.  You just have to be someone with a vision for your future and the ability to associate with creators who share your aspirations.

On my long-standing MichaelONeillFineArt.com web site you can see galleries of my legacy (traditional) photographic work that I compiled over a four decade long career as a professional photographer.  Though I had closed my brick and mortar studio back in 2018, I have stayed current on the emerging technologies.  Truth-be-told, my “retirement” from active shooting in the professional marketplace gave me the time and the freedom to pursue the emerging technologies with greater intensity and commitment than most of my colleagues.

Armed with ever-increasing skill sets I have decided to continue my journey in the world of professional imaging by offering “Digital Magic” for brands of all sizes.  Combining the experience gained over 50 years behind the lens, with the digital imaging and compositing techniques I learned along the way; coupled with the emerging possibilities afforded by AI technologies; I can offer unique capabilities and results in this developing imaging genre.

I am thrilled to announce that a new gallery has been added to the MichaelONeillFineArt.com website to showcase some of the “Digital Magic” that I’ve been creating over the past 10 months.  The gallery is launching at this time with just 100 sample images; a fraction of the thousands that I’ve created to date.  These images should serve to inspire your own creative concepts.  They are all also available as stock images for use in your individual projects or as custom-printed fine art pieces.

Let’s Talk About Your Vision

computer generated imaging solutions

Smaller brands don’t have the time or human resources necessary to specialize in learning and utilizing the ever-changing & evolving visual image creation methods afforded by computer generated imaging solutions; yet they have a distinct need for great visuals for use in their advertising, marketing and social media efforts.  That’s where I come in.  I’ve done all of the “heavy lifting” for you already.  I’ve done all of the research, experimentation and trial & error abstracts associated with crafting photorealistic images using this emerging art form.

It’s time to put the power of AI to work for your brand and the perfect place to start is with those dynamic images you visualize for use in your marketing, branding and social media efforts.  Reach out to me to discuss your vision.  Let’s work together to make your brand all that it is capable of becoming.  It’s far more affordable than you would imagine…and it’s something so powerful you can’t afford to do without it.  I look forward to collaborating with you.
