I would spend the day photographing the famous lighthouses of The Outer Banks starting with the one located right here in the heart of Ocracoke itself. Arriving there at first light I was able to capture a beautiful view of this structure, just as the sun rose over the horizon, illuminating the tower against a backdrop of broken early morning clouds suspended over Pamlico Sound beyond.
