The test of the machine is the satisfaction it gives you. There isn’t any other test. If the machine produces tranquillity it’s right. If it disturbs you it’s wrong; until either the machine or your mind is changed.

When I travel around the country by motorcycle I always get the same astonished reaction from the motorcyclists I meet on the road. “How can you even think of riding in New York?” Stereotypes being what they are, out-of-towners always equate the State of New York with New York City. Let’s put New York in perspective for the ‘foreigners’. The State of New York occupies a land mass of 54,556 square miles. The 5 boroughs of New York City occupy a mere 302 of those square miles. Someday we’re all going to reach the end of the road…take our last ride. I’m not implying that some catastrophe will befall us. I’m just stating the facts. Someday we’re all going to reach a point in our lives when we’re no longer able, physically and/or mentally, to handle the rigors of long distance motorcycle travel.
A lot of the objections to the concept of having photographers embrace AI imaging stem from the idea that no photographic skills are involved. There is certainly a lot of truth to that criticism. It is relatively easy for a person with no photographic knowledge or training to take a seat at their computer terminal and have an AI image generator turn out a marvelous photorealistic image.
